Is Aduvee a safe place to video chat?

Aduvee gives you three quick controls, and your own habits do the rest. You can leave any match with Next, report or block someone from her profile, and start without handing over a name, email or phone number.

Nobody can make you stay on a call. Nobody gets your contact details unless you type them out yourself. That second part matters more than any button, and it's the reason this page spends as much time on habits as on features.

If you are new here, the Aduvee home page explains the two ways into a call: a random match, or picking someone from the online list. Both work the same way when it comes to the controls below.

your buttons

Skip, report and block: where each one lives

Three controls cover almost every bad moment. They sit in different places, so it helps to know where before you need them.

Next, during a random match

On a match, the Next button moves you to someone new. You don't owe an explanation. If the first few seconds feel wrong, tap it and the conversation is over for both of you.

Report, from her profile

Open the profile, tap the menu in the top corner and choose Report. You pick a reason, such as harassment, spam or impersonation, add a few words about what happened, and you can attach one to three screenshots. The report goes to the site.

Block, from the same menu

Block sits right under Report. Use it when you're done with that person and don't want their messages in your inbox. You can report and block the same person; one doesn't replace the other.

A quick report with a clear reason and a screenshot is more useful than a long one. Write what happened, not how it made you feel, and keep it to a few lines.

Guest entry means there is less to give away

When you first open Aduvee, a guest identity is created for you automatically. There's no form, no birthday field and no request for your contacts. You can match, browse the online list and send a first message before you decide whether you want an account at all.

Fewer details stored means fewer details to lose. If you do sign in later to keep your follows and messages, you still choose what goes on your profile. The page on starting without a login walks through what a guest can do and what signing in adds. What to keep off camera, from your surname to the street sign outside your window, is on the video chat safety tips page.

Money safety: coins only go through the wallet

On Aduvee, money moves in one place: the coin wallet. Gifts in live rooms and in chats are paid with coins from that same balance.

So if anyone asks you for money in any other form, a transfer, a gift card, a payment link or a "small loan until tomorrow", the answer is no, and the next step is Report. You'll find how coins and VIP actually work on the coins and VIP page.

What should you do when someone wants to move to another app?

Say no, at least for now. Moving to another app is a common first step in scams on video chat sites, because it takes you away from the Report and Block buttons. Someone who enjoys talking to you can keep talking right here, by message or by call.

If they push after a clear no, that pressure is the answer you needed. Leave the chat and report it with the reason that fits best, often spam or misleading content.

How do you tell us about a problem?

Use Report on the person's profile for anything a specific user did, and email us for everything else: a payment that looks wrong, an account you can't get into, or a bug. Both routes reach the site; Report is just faster for one person's behaviour.

The rules that reports are measured against are written out in the community guidelines. For email, the contact page has the address and a short list of what to include so a reply can actually fix things.
