What is Aduvee?

Aduvee is a one-on-one video chat with girls and women from all over the world, and it runs in your browser at aduvee.cam. You either let a random match pick someone for you, or you choose a person from the list of who's online and call her from her profile. Free to start, no download.

That's the whole product in two sentences. Everything else on the site, the feed, the live rooms, messages and follows, exists to help you get to a good call or to find the same person again after one.

If you want the short tour instead of the long one, the Aduvee home page shows both ways in on a single screen.

Why one person at a time

Group video chats are loud. Five tiles, three people talking, one person on mute who never speaks. Apps built around profiles have the opposite problem: you spend twenty minutes reading bios and swiping, and by the time anyone says hello the energy is gone.

Aduvee goes the other way. You get one person on your screen and one conversation at a time. You find out in ten seconds whether you like talking to someone, which is something no profile can tell you. If the answer is no, you tap Next and nobody's evening is ruined. If the answer is yes, you follow her and call again tomorrow.

That's what we mean by chemistry over profiles, and it's why the match screen opens on a camera rather than a profile. The way someone reacts to a bad joke is something you only see live, and only when the conversation has your full attention.

Who are the people you meet on Aduvee?

Mostly girls and women who opened the site for the same reason you did: they wanted to talk to someone new tonight. People from 50+ countries use it, and roughly one in five users is in the US, so a call can connect a Tuesday evening in Ohio with a Wednesday morning somewhere far away.

They're real people on their own phones and laptops. Some are chatty from the first second, some are shy until the third question, and some just want company while they cook dinner. The online list shows each person's country and the languages she speaks, which helps a lot when you'd rather not guess.

There is more about the time zone side of things, and how to pick someone you share a language with, on the page about video chat with women around the world.

An ordinary evening on Aduvee

Say you open Aduvee on your phone during a lunch break, tap Start random chat and get a match a few seconds later. Maybe she's laughing at something off camera, you talk about the noise in her street for a minute, it fizzles, and you both move on without any fuss.

Maybe the next match goes better. You find something you both want to talk about, the minutes slip past, and you follow her before you go. Later in the week you open your Following tab, see her online and call her from her profile. That's the whole loop, and most good conversations on Aduvee look something like it.

Nobody had to write a bio, upload a photo or wait three days for a reply to a message. The first impression came from a voice and a face, which is what we built the site around.

what you can do

What you can do here

Start a random match by video, audio or text, with the switch at the bottom of the match screen. Browse the online list by popularity, by who's new or by language. Open any profile to message her, call her on camera or follow her. Scroll a short video feed. Watch live rooms, comment, send gifts and go one-on-one with the person who's live.

Each of these has its own explanation, gathered together on the Aduvee features page. The first thing most people try is a random match, and how a random match works is laid out moment by moment for anyone who likes to know what to expect.

What does it cost?

The first matches are on us, and the site throws in the occasional reward for a few more. Past that point, Aduvee runs on coins, which also pay for gifts. VIP is optional: a monthly plan that adds coins, a badge and a little more control over what your profile shows.

We'd rather say that plainly than call the site free and let you find the line on your own. The exact line between free and paid is drawn on the page that asks is Aduvee free?

How Aduvee approaches safety

A one-on-one chat with a stranger only works if leaving is easy. On Aduvee it is: Next ends a match in one tap, and every profile has a menu with Report and Block. You start as a guest with an identity created for you, so there's no form asking for your name, number or birthday.

We also ask for a few things in return. Be kind, keep it clean on camera, take no for an answer, and never ask anyone for money. Those rules are written out in full in the community guidelines, and the buttons are explained on the page that answers whether Aduvee is safe.

What Aduvee is not

Aduvee is not a dating app. There are no matches based on a questionnaire, no compatibility scores and no promises about where a conversation leads. It's a place to talk on video, online, with someone you didn't know an hour ago.

Aduvee doesn't arrange meetings in person, and we'd encourage you to keep things online with people you've just met. There are no group chat rooms either; a call on Aduvee always has exactly two people in it. Live rooms are the one place where many people watch together, and even there you can only watch and comment; users can't stream themselves.

Where does Aduvee work?

Anywhere you have a current browser, a camera and a microphone. That covers most phones, tablets, laptops and desktops. There's nothing to install. On a phone you can add Aduvee to your home screen so it opens with one tap, like an app.

If you want to set that up, the Aduvee app page has the steps for iPhone and Android. If the camera or mic doesn't show up the first time, the quick fixes on the support page usually sort it out in a couple of minutes.

How to reach us

For anything about one particular person, use Report on their profile, because that sends the report straight to the site. For everything else, a payment, an account, a bug or a question this page doesn't answer, email the support address. Tell us what happened, when, and on which device, and we'll have what we need to look into it.

The address and a short checklist of quick fixes to try first are on the contact page.

Write from an address you actually check, so the reply has somewhere to land.
