How Aduvee Video Chat Works, Match by Match

Tap once and Aduvee pairs you with one girl on camera. This page walks through a single match in order: the first ten seconds, switching to voice or text, when to tap Next, and how to find someone again afterwards.

What is Aduvee video chat?

Aduvee video chat is built for one-on-one calls. It works as a random match: you tap a button, the site pairs you with one person who's free right then, and you're face to face. No profile to fill in first. If it clicks, keep talking. If not, tap Next.

That's the short version. The rest of this page follows a single match from start to finish, so you know what to expect before you press anything. For the bigger picture of what the site is, start at the Aduvee video chat home page.

stopwatch running

The first ten seconds

Open the match screen, leave the switch at the bottom on Video and tap Start random chat. The first time, your browser asks for the camera and microphone. Say yes, or there's nothing for her to see.

Then comes a short wait while the site looks for someone. It's usually a few seconds, a little longer at quiet hours. When a face appears, you've got about the length of a breath to make a first impression, and the easiest one is a plain hello with a smile.

Don't open with a question about where she's from and how old she is. Comment on something you can both see, her plant, your terrible lighting, the noise outside your window. It gets a laugh more often than a pickup line does.

  1. Open the match screen

Go to the match screen from any page; the big button on every Aduvee page leads there too.

  2. Choose Video

Leave the switch on Video, or pick Audio or Text if you want a softer start.

  3. Tap Start random chat

Allow the camera and mic, wait a few seconds, and say hi.

Can you switch between video, voice and text?

Yes. The switch at the bottom of the match screen has three settings: Video, Audio and Text. Whatever you pick is the kind of match you get next.

Video suits the evenings when you're comfortable and the light is decent. Audio is the one for when you're lying on the sofa in an old T-shirt and still want a real voice on the other end. Text is the quietest: no camera, no microphone, just typing, which works on a train or late at night with someone asleep next door.

You can change your mind between matches as often as you like. You can start on Audio and flip to Video once you're warmed up.

What's on the screen before and during a match

Before you start, the match screen is simple. At the top: your avatar, a History button, VIP and your coin balance. At the bottom: the Video / Audio / Text switch and the Start random chat button. History asks you to sign in first.

Once you're matched, the part that matters is the Next button. It ends the current match and starts looking for someone new. You don't need to explain yourself or wait for permission.

Anything you want to keep, like following her or sending a message later, happens on her profile, not in the middle of the call. Profiles have Message, Video chat and Follow buttons, and a menu with Report and Block.

When should you tap Next?

Tap Next when the match isn't working for either of you: silence that won't break, a camera pointed at a ceiling, or anything that makes you uncomfortable. Don't tap it after two seconds just because the first face wasn't what you pictured. Give a video match ten seconds and a real hello.

Moving on isn't rude. Everyone on Aduvee is doing it, and nobody expects a speech. A quick wave or “nice to meet you” before you go is a kind touch, and if someone crosses a line, skip first and report afterwards. The habits that keep calls comfortable are collected in our video chat safety tips.

After the match: follow, message, call again

Had a good one? Random matches don't come back on their own, so the way to find her again is through her profile. Follow her and she shows up in your Following tab on Who's online. Open her profile any time and you've got Message and Video chat right there.

That second call is a different thing from the first. You're not rolling the dice any more, you're calling someone you chose. If that's the part you enjoy, the page on calling someone you picked, one on one covers the other ways in, including going private from a live room.

Your first matches cost nothing; when they and any rewards are used up, matching runs on coins. Where that line sits is spelled out on is Aduvee free, and buying coins on Aduvee coins and VIP.

On a phone or a laptop

The match screen is the same on both. On a phone it fills the screen and the buttons sit within reach of your thumb. On a laptop you get a bigger picture and the menu down the left side: Messages, Girls, Match and Feed.

On a phone, add Aduvee to your home screen so the match screen is one tap from your lock screen. The Aduvee app page shows how, for iPhone and Android.
