Aduvee Aduvee App

The Aduvee App, Without the App Store

Aduvee is a video chat with girls that runs in your browser, and the Aduvee app is that same site pinned to your home screen. Here's what it does on a phone, how to add the icon in under a minute, and what changes between a phone and a laptop.

Is there an Aduvee app to download?

There's no file to download. The Aduvee app is a web app: you open aduvee.cam in your phone browser, allow the camera, and you're matching. Want an icon? Add the page to your home screen and it opens full screen, just like something you got from a store.

So you won't find a store listing from us, and nothing needs an update before you can use it. New versions simply arrive the next time you open the page. If some site offers you an Aduvee installer file, close it. We don't publish one.

The browser tab and the home-screen icon are the same place with a different front door. Once you sign in, your follows, messages and coins belong to your account, so they're there whichever door you use. New here? The Aduvee home page gives the two-minute tour.

Three things people ask before installing anything

Picture someone on the bus home, thumb hovering over yet another app. The same three questions come up every time. Here are the answers for Aduvee.

How much space will it take?

Next to nothing. The home-screen icon is a shortcut to the site, so there's no package sitting on your phone eating into your photos. Your browser keeps a little cached data so pages load faster, the same as it does for any site you visit often.

Which permissions does it want?

Camera and microphone, when you start a video or audio match. It doesn't need your contacts to get going. If you send a picture in a chat, your phone asks about photos at that point, and you can say no.

Do I have to sign up first?

No. A guest identity is set up the moment you open the page, so your first match can happen before you've typed a single letter. Signing in only matters once you want to keep the people you follow, and the Aduvee login page explains what an account keeps.

one minute, tops

Adding Aduvee to your home screen, step by step

Adding the icon takes less than a minute. Pick your phone below. Some phones also show an “Add Aduvee to Home Screen” banner on their own, and tapping Add there does the same job.

  1. iPhone: open it in Safari

Go to aduvee.cam in Safari and let the page load. Safari is the surest route on an iPhone.

  2. iPhone: Share, then Add to Home Screen

Tap the Share button, scroll down the list, choose Add to Home Screen and tap Add.

  3. Android: open it in Chrome

Go to aduvee.cam in Chrome and wait until the page has finished loading.

  4. Android: menu, then Install

Tap the three-dot menu and choose Add to Home screen or Install app. The wording depends on your Chrome version.

From then on, the icon opens Aduvee full screen with no address bar. Park it next to your messaging apps and the match screen is always one tap away.

What the web app can do

Everything on the website works from the icon, so the Aduvee icon on your home screen isn't a trimmed-down copy of anything. Here's what you get.

  • Random matching. Pick Video, Audio or Text at the bottom of the match screen, then tap Start random chat.
  • Who's online. Browse by Popular, Online, New or Following, or by language, and open any profile you like.
  • Profiles. Each one has Message, Video chat and Follow buttons, plus her photos and posts.
  • Messages. Your chats live here, with Video Chat and Audio Chat buttons at the top of each one.
  • The feed. Short videos in Recommend, Private, Following, Live and Hot tabs.
  • Live rooms. Watch whoever is live, comment, send a gift, or go one-on-one from the room.
  • Wallet. Your coin balance and the VIP page, for when you want them.

Phone or laptop: what changes?

Very little. The same account, the same matches and the same buttons work on both. The differences are physical: a phone sits in your hand and goes wherever you go, while a laptop gives you a bigger picture that stays steady. Choose by where you're sitting tonight.

Switching between the two? Sign in on both and your follows and messages stay in step.

Random match, or picking who you call?

Both, in the same place. Tap Start random chat and Aduvee pairs you with whoever's free at that moment. If you'd rather choose, open Who's online, pick a face and tap Video chat on her profile. Mixing the two in one evening works fine.

Random is quick and a little chaotic in the good way. Part of the fun is not knowing who comes next. Picking is slower and more deliberate: you read the language tags, look at a couple of photos, and when you call a girl you picked, she's someone you already wanted to talk to.

The icon costs nothing and uses the same free start and coins as the website; what's free on Aduvee has the details.

If the camera or mic doesn't show up

Most of the time it's a permission. The first time you start a match, the browser asks to use your camera and microphone, and if you tapped Don't Allow, it remembers that answer. Open the site settings in your browser, set both back to Allow, then reload the page.

If another app is holding the camera, close it and try again. Still black? The contact page lists the quick fixes to try before writing to support.

Not in the mood to fix it right now? Switch the match to Audio or Text and come back to video later.

One more thing worth knowing: the icon keeps the browser's permissions. If you allowed the camera in Safari or Chrome, the home-screen version remembers that, and if you blocked it there, you fix it in that same browser's settings rather than in your phone's app list.

quick answers

What else do people ask about the Aduvee app?

Is there an Aduvee app?

Yes, as a web app. Open Aduvee in your phone browser and add it to your home screen; from then on it opens full screen from its own icon.

Where can I download the Aduvee app?

There's nothing to download. The browser version is the app, so you open the site and add the icon if you want one.

Can I skip installing anything at all?

Aduvee works that way. Open it, allow the camera, and a few seconds later you can be in a video match, or start with text if you'd rather.

Is the matching random?

It is, and it also lets you skip the randomness: pick someone from Who's online and call her from her profile.

Does it work on an iPhone?

Use Safari, add Aduvee to your home screen, and it opens from its own icon like any other app.

Does it work on Android?

Yes, in Chrome or another up-to-date browser. Chrome can also install it from its menu.

Will the app take up storage?

Hardly any. It's a shortcut to the site plus a little cached data, not an installed package.

Do I need an account to use the app?

No. Guests can start matching straight away. Sign in later if you want to keep follows, messages and coins.

Is the app free?

The icon itself costs nothing. Calls from it work exactly like calls in the browser.
